Know the Covering Founder and Executive Director, Michael Altstiel, has transitioned to:
CAVETIME Men’s Organization – Executive Director starting January 1, 2018
Michael Altstiel (All Steel – No Tin, No Lead, but All Steel) is a man passionately devoted to the many roles God has placed in his life. He is a Counselor, Teacher, Speaker, Husband, Father, Son, Friend, and Co-Author. He is one of the founders and CEO of Know the Covering Ministries.
Michael graduated from Colorado Christian University in 1998 with a BS in Biology and a minor in Psychology and Biblical Studies. Upon graduation, he trained and Counseled at Christian Life Ministries (CLM) from 1998-2013 and was ordained in 2003.
As an Ordained Pastoral Counselor, Michael spent 16 years journeying to the “deepest depths of hearts” in his counseling office. After about 10 years, God began to stir something deep inside Michael and he longed to see men’s hearts: come alive for the things of God; be transformed by the power of His grace; be free to be real and quit pretending; to stand in victory over attacks from the enemy that seemed to hunt these men on a daily basis.
From 2012-2017, Michael founded and operated as the Executive Director for Know the Covering Men’s Ministries. He loved being involved in pointing the hearts of men to Jesus and getting them fired up for the Word of God… allowing them to see what it means to be a mighty man of God. Starting January 1, 2018, Michael has transitioned as the CAVETIME Organization’s Executive Director. He is thrilled to join the CAVETIME movement and be a part of what God is doing in setting the hearts of men on fire worldwide!
He has discovered that his own heart has come fully alive studying, teaching God’s Word, and journeying with fellow warriors. Michael is deeply convicted that God has designed man with an imbedded need for Kavode (glory). If this “glory” is found through knowing and fiercely depending on Jesus and His Word… then men will be great leaders in their homes, community and their spheres of influence.
He is committed to working out this dependency first in his own home with his best friend and wife, Leah, and their three children (1 Timothy 3:12). He desires his life to bring glory to his King alone and to be a testimony of His love, His strength and His honor in the lives of today’s man.
