Jeff and I had the privilege to speak at the “Warrior Weekend” for the men of Ravenna Baptist Church in Michigan January 3rd-4th. We were encouraged by the story from a man that surrendered his life to the Warrior King Jesus just one month earlier. He relayed how much his life has changed since the surrender. The message of fierce dependency upon Christ brought a strong encouragement to him. He grabbed on to the truth that the old man that had done shameful things was now dead and his new identity is one grounded in the righteousness of Christ. God is in fact in the process of miraculously redeeming broken men.
This process of redemption through fierce dependence on Jesus was brought home to our hearts as we began our trip back to Rapid City. Between weather and mechanical issues Jeff and I missed out flights and were stranded in Minneapolis for two days. Through it all God showed himself faithful as our provision and protection. I pray this story pours out courage upon you by reminding you that it doesn’t matter which side of the podium you are on, we are all broken and must remain dependent on the Father’s grace to sustain in all circumstances.
Praise to our God and Arrows to the enemy!
